Every Body Eat® FAQ
How are Every Body Eat® products different from other brands?
Our mission is to give every body a seat at the table – literally and figuratively.
When a special diet enters a family, the bonding over food can get blown apart because people can no longer eat the same food as the people they love. Often families are required to shop for different groceries, prepare various meals, and social gatherings can be challenging.
Our goal is to make eating together easy for every body, regardless of dietary restrictions or preferences. It requires delicious food free from the top 14 allergens and corn, making it safe for most diets. We recognize that some people are allergic to ingredients in our products, but we prioritized steering clear of the most challenging ingredients, the top 14 allergens, in our recipe development.
I have a weird question, and I want to talk to a person about it.
We don’t believe in weird questions. We believe in fearless asking! Contact us at realhuman@everybodyeating.com. We’ll do our best to get back to you within 1-2 business days.

Why do you avoid 14 food allergens when the US only has labeling requirements for 8?
Our vision is to make it easier for every body to eat everywhere, together. We live in a big, big world, so we worked backwards from the strictest global requirements we could find – the European Union (EU).
The EU has the strictest food labeling requirements in the world, followed closely by Canada (12), Japan (10), Brazil (8), and the United States (8). We believe that labeling requirements in the US are likely to evolve over time. For example, in November 2020, the FDA encouraged all US food manufacturers to label sesame as an allergen, even though it isn’t required by law.
How do you choose your ingredients?
We searched high and low to find the highest quality whole food ingredients that aren’t typically associated with special diets. We monitor our sourcing and supply chain very carefully to ensure a reduced risk of cross contact from the ingredients our customers are trying to avoid. We prioritize nutrient responsive, flavorful ingredients that we can all feel good about eating and sharing!

How can I find out more information about a product?

If you have any other questions or thoughts, let us know at realhuman@everybodyeating.com.
I have a severe nut allergy. Can I eat your products?
Yes. Our products and manufacturing facilities are strictly free from peanuts and tree nuts. We enforce the highest standards of safety and quality to keep our products free from nuts, in addition to 14 other ingredients associated with common food allergies.
Our foods are free from wheat/gluten, milk/dairy, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, corn, sesame, eggs, mustard, celery, lupins, sulfites, fish, shellfish, and molluscs.
I'm allergic to an ingredient in one of your products that isn't in others. What procedures do you have in place to limit cross-contamination between flavors?
That’s a great question — and one we care deeply about.
Every Body Eat® was created because of food allergies. One of our founders is allergic to five different foods, and the other has children with severe gluten and dairy intolerances. We get how important it is to be absolutely sure that the food you're eating is safe.
All our products are 100% free from the top 14 allergens and corn. And we don’t just follow that standard — we’ve built our entire company around it.
To prevent any risk of cross-contact, here’s what we do:
- We manufacture in dedicated allergen-free facilities. This means the top 14 allergens and corn never enter our manufacturing space. Period.
- Our team receives rigorous allergen training and follows strict cleaning and sanitization protocols.
- Equipment is thoroughly cleaned every four hours and between every production run.
- Each shift begins with a full inspection to ensure all equipment is spotless before anything starts.
- A supervisor is always present to monitor cleaning and production processes.
- Typically, we make only one product on a line per day to further reduce the chance of cross-contact.
Bottom line: We don’t just avoid allergens — we obsess over keeping every product safe for every body.
If you still have questions or want to double-check a specific ingredient, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always happy to help.

Heavy Metals and Prop 65
What is Proposition 65?
Proposition 65 is a California regulation that is part of a legislation called “The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986" created to help consumers make informed choices about their exposure to certain chemicals.
Under this regulation, businesses selling products in California must provide a statement if their products contain certain levels of any of the substances the state has identified as potentially causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The list now includes about 1,000 chemicals, which can be naturally occurring or man-made.
California’s unique regulations set allowable limits that are often far stricter than federal standards—sometimes so low they can apply to everyday foods like fruits and vegetables. The goal is to give California consumers additional information so they can make purchasing decisions based on their own preferences.
Why am I seeing a Prop 65 statement on my product?
At Every Body Eat®, your health, safety, and trust are non-negotiable. Our products meet all federal safety standards and California’s Proposition 65 requirements. The statement you see on some of our packaging is not a warning—it’s simply part of our commitment to transparency.
Heavy metals are naturally occurring elements that can be found in soil, water, and air. Because crops grow in the ground, they can naturally absorb trace amounts from the soil—just like many vegetables you buy fresh from the store. Levels can vary depending on the soil’s makeup, farming methods, and the type of plant.
We take extra care in sourcing from suppliers who prioritize responsible farming practices. We also conduct rigorous testing, including third-party verification, to confirm that any trace levels remain well within safe limits. It’s all part of delivering high-quality, crave-worthy snacks you can feel good about sharing with every body.
Why was this statement not there before?
We recently added the Proposition 65 statement to certain packaging purely for transparency—not because our products changed, and not because they’re unsafe.
Our products meet all federal safety standards and California’s Proposition 65 requirements.
Even though a warning is not required for our products, we chose to include a statement on Proposition 65 so our California customers have complete information. Our ingredient quality and safety standards remain exactly the same: rigorous, tested, and something we’re proud to share with every body.
Is this product safe to consume?
Yes, absolutely. Our products are safe to consume and meet all federal safety standards for heavy metals.
We added the Prop 65 statement to be fully transparent, not because our product changed or became unsafe. We take your trust seriously and would never sell anything we wouldn’t feel completely confident sharing with our own families.
Why do other brands with similar products not have a statement?
Some smaller companies (with fewer than 10 employees) are exempt from Proposition 65 requirements, even if their products contain trace amounts of listed substances. Others may not sell their products in California, where the regulation applies, or may simply choose not to provide any statement.
At Every Body Eat®, we believe in full transparency. That’s why you’ll see a Proposition 65 statement on certain products that are sold in California—even though our products meet all federal and California standards, including Proposition 65, and do not require a Proposition 65 warning.
